The next MMORPG from the company that made Guild Wars 2 is called “Throne and Liberty.” It was made by the company itself and was meant to be part of the Lineage series, but it has since grown into its own IP. The recent popularity of the genre and the chance to get lost in a new world make people wonder when the game will come out.
If there aren’t any more delays, the game shouldn’t be out for too long. Below, we’ll talk about everything we know about Throne and Liberty, such as when it will come out, what it’s about, how to play it, and more.
Throne and Liberty Release Date
Throne & Liberty’s exact release date is unknown, but the game is now set to come out in the first half of 2023. It was originally set to come out in Q4 2022, but a delay was reported to fix publishing problems.

There have been rumors lately that Amazon Game Studios and NCSoft will work together, and that Amazon will launch Throne and Liberty in the western markets. People said it was “highly likely” that a deal would be made, but nothing is set in stone yet.
In January 2023, it was reported that the final beta test would only take place in Korea, and players would have to go to a certain site to take part. The game is still on track to come out in the first half of 2023, which was confirmed again.
Why Throne and Liberty Release Date is Delayed?
More recently, Throne And Liberty was pushed back to the first half of 2023 because of continued talks with a publisher. This publisher is widely thought to be Amazon Game Studios. It looks like they pushed the game back so that they can get ready and still release it everywhere at the same time. Still, this hasn’t been proven.
Throne and Liberty Beta Information
Early in 2023, a public beta was likely to happen, but it’s not clear how people will be able to take part. It could be a free, open beta that anyone can join, or it could be a closed beta that you can only join if you are asked. Obviously, beta testing is likely to be done with enough time to spare before the Throne And Liberty Release Date so that any changes can be made based on the feedback from the testing.
No one knows whether the tests will be done with or without an NDA. Since no information about the game has leaked, it is likely that any testing that has been done so far was done under an NDA.
Throne and Liberty Storyline
In terms of story, Throne and Liberty will have lots of stories to tell when players interact with various characters throughout the game’s realm. The game’s website describes Star Children as humans endowed with exceptional abilities bestowed by fragments of Silaves, the Goddess of Destruction, which became dispersed over the globe.
With Revil Lupius and his vicious Arkeum Legions in control of Solisium, it’s up to the Star Children to fight back and restore freedom. It’s not much to go on at this point, but once we get into the story proper and understand more about the circumstances surrounding these occurrences, things should start making more sense.
That being said, the development team is well aware that the main pull of MMORPGs is the ability of players to create their own storylines as they adventure alone or with others.

Throne and Liberty Gameplay and Trailer
The open world of Throne and Liberty is made up of a single enormous zone that players can explore. Surface locales as well as multi-level underground dungeons will be featured in the game. It is also expected to start with a day/night cycle and a dynamic weather system, which will alter not just the graphics and feel of the environment, but also the events that players will meet while exploring.
You also won’t have to choose a class and remain with it for the duration of your playtime. The fighting system in Throne and Liberty hinges around your weapon selection. You can equip two types of weapons at once and freely switch between them, gaining access to the many talents they bestow your character.
Although most regions are safe to explore, PvP becomes available when certain events begin. Players that desire to compete against their peers can do so. This means you won’t be forced to engage in PvP, which is fantastic news if you’ve had one too many nasty experiences getting ganked in the genre’s early days.
Guilds can fight in battles as well as be members of Throne and Liberty. Guilds can govern map objects like as Blessing Stones and Dimension Stones, which provide numerous enhancements and supplies. Of course, they can be battled for in larger wars that pit guilds against one another.
The game allows you to build your own character, with many of options for personalization. So far, there appears to be a single playable human-like race, however this may alter in the lead-up to launch. Below you can check out the announce trailer for Throne and Liberty.
