Hey, Ghostrunner fans! After the first game did really well, the people who make games (505 Games) said it’s okay to make a second one in 2021. We just got a first look at it, and it seems like they’re making it even more exciting with the same fast action and violent attacks as before.
Even though we haven’t seen everything about Ghostrunner 2 yet, the first trailer looks really cool. The exciting news is that the game will be released sooner than expected. We hope that in the sequel, there will be new cool powers and abilities to make the series feel new and exciting again.
Ghostrunner 2 Release Date
Ghostrunner 2 will come out on October 26, 2023, but only for the newest game consoles like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. 505 Games announced this release date on Twitter before showing the game at Gamescom 2023. If you have an older PS4 or Xbox One, you won’t be able to play it on those consoles.

Ghostrunner 2 Trailer
The Ghostrunner 2 trailer has a lot of computer-made graphics, but there’s a short part at the end that gives us a quick look at how the game will be played. It looks really fast and exciting, just like the first game, and there are some cool new abilities like a “push” power.
Also, towards the end of the trailer, we see a sneak peek of a robot character. This robot might be one of the big challenges or a bad guy in the game. If you enjoy scary video games, you might want to take a look at our guide for Alan Wake 2.
Ghostrunner 2 Gameplay
In Ghostrunner 2, the motorbike in the trailer isn’t just there to look cool. You can actually use it to travel around in bigger, more open levels. They’ve also made changes to the Cybervoid Sections, so now you can move around more freely, which means you can be more creative and explore more in the game.

The studio says they’ll give you new skills and powers, like being able to block and protect yourself from things being thrown at you. This makes it easier to play in the big open areas, and you can choose different ways to approach them.
Ghostrunner 2 Story
Ghostrunner 2 is a story that goes to many different places, not just Dharma Tower. It happens one year after the first game. In Dharma Tower, people are fixing things after what happened before. The PlayStation Blog says that because the person in charge, the Keymaster, is gone, there’s a big gap in power. And now, even scarier enemies are showing up all the time to take that power.
In the game, there will be a new way for your character, Jack, to talk to other characters from the Climbers group. This makes the game world feel more real because you can have conversations with them. You can chat with them when you’re not on a mission at a central meeting place.
