We’re just halfway through Genshin Impact 4.1, and there’s already talk about Genshin Impact 4.2 leaks and rumors. For those who are unaware, Genshin Impact 4.1 introduced two new characters — Neuvillette and Wriothesley — in addition to tons of new and old characters appearing in the Archon Quest, which was mildly traumatizing for us players but ten times as much for Furina at Knave’s tea party, while Neuvillette was away on a “business trip.”
In any case, Genshin Impact 4.2 will introduce new bosses, events, and other goodies, so here’s everything we know so far about the Genshin Impact 4.2 release date, banners, characters, and, of course, those precious Primogems.
Genshin Impact 4.2 Leak First Half Banner Characters
Neuvillette, a five-star hero, is a new powerful character in the newest update (4.1) of Genshin Impact. This update also brought back Hu Tao, another popular five-star character who wields a fiery polearm.
Despite the fact that this update was only released a few days ago, the game’s official social media now informs us that two more new characters will be added in the upcoming update.
The next major 4.2 update will include two highly anticipated characters: Furina, the Hydro Archon, and Charlotte, a Cryo user. Both of them have significant roles in the game’s main plot. Fans are delighted, especially about Furina, because her status as an Archon means she might become one of the Fontaine region’s strongest and most flexible characters.
hxg_diluc, a known Genshin Impact leaker, gives some details regarding the characters that will appear in the first portion of update 4.2. According to the leak, the following characters will appear in the first phase of version 4.2:
Character | Element | Weapon |
---|---|---|
Furina | Hydro | Sword |
Baizhu | Dendro | Catalyst |
Collei | Dendro | Bow |
Beidou | Electro | Claymore |
Charlotte | Cryo | Catalyst |

Expansion of the Genshin Impact Map
As previously announced, Fontaine will be expanding to the east into Liyue, introducing a series of new islands along the map’s eastern side. This comprises both land and a massive new undersea zone.
The current Fontaine map, as you can see (and no, I didn’t zoom out to flex my progress), is more stretched upward than sideways. More territories on the right side, approaching Liyue, should be added in Genshin Impact 4.2.
This also hints at the supposed new Liyue region called Chenyu Vale, which is set to arrive in 4.4. We’ve already heard from several NPCs that most people enter Fontaine through Chenyu Vale because trekking through the Sumeru Desert is a difficult sport.

Genshin Impact 4.2 Events
Four Genshin Impact 4.2 events have so far been revealed, one of which is a flagship event. In case you didn’t know, Genshin Impact grants gamers free characters during even-numbered editions and a free weapon during odd-numbered ones.
Thelxie, an NPC, will host 4.2’s flagship event, which will be a battle event in which players will earn various boosts to take on tasks. After successfully fulfilling the event’s objectives, users can exchange the event’s restricted cash for a free Freminet and other incentives.
Conclusion: New characters and intriguing plots in Genshin Impact 4.1 keep fans wanting more. Genshin Impact 4.2, which adds Furina and Charlotte and expands Fontaine with islands and an undersea zone, excites the community. Four events, including a flagship Thelxie event, will reward players and include fascinating battles. Players of Genshin Impact 4.2 can expect an exciting update on November 8, 2023, as its rich plot, characters, and gameplay maintain their interest.
